Very kind, friendly and helpful people here at this yacht club! Great vibe if you're looking to learn sailing with people who have the patience to answer any stupid questions, and not make you feel bad about it.
We joined for the small sail boat day, and had a great time with experienced folks, as they welcomed us into their personal boats and gave us a free ride.
This just might be the friendliest yacht club on the bay, as one of the long time members said... it's not 'stuffy' like some of the other ones (take that St. Francis yacht club)

Friendly and welcoming. The clubhouse is modern and the views from the dining room/bar and the deck are gorgeous. Very well maintained docks and facilities.
Love this place. Very chilled environment. Epic organized races and programs. Perfect place for a Saturday evening with a cocktail on the deck.

Amazingly welcoming place. If you want to sail, come by during the summer on a Wednesday night and hop on a boat, people will take you out, no experience necessary! Just say, "hey, got room for one more?"
As reciprocal members of another Bay Area yacht club, we were warmly welcomed by the General Manager and his capable staff. The RYC building was beautifully renovated a few years ago. Snazzy! We look forward to our next visit to enjoy the Club, nearby downtown Richmond, and the Rosie the Riveter Museum.

It's a family friendly sailing environment with wonderful food and a full bar , all are more then happy to lend a hand there's sailing classes for kids and adults . RYC is a Great place to be, Come on over get a Feel for the sailor in you.
